Hong Kong Fashion Week – House Show Presented by HK Fashion Designers Assoc Autumn/Winter 2010: An Extraordinary Experience Part III

The show rounded off with Ho Kin Wah’s knitwear collection titled “Fashion Evolution” for 1997, the year of political significance to the Hong Kongers. The collection was a good showcase for the designer’s brilliant craftsmanship. The chunky knit off-shoulder jumper in embellished stitch and the long knit coat full of decorative details show a hint of the knit-master, Sonia Rykiel’s design. The knit hats and ear covers with which Ho’s models were accessorized make you feel the warmth from the Arctic winter. The background projection featuring the image of Arctic snow had clearly indicated where the designer seeks his inspiration.

Watching the house show presented by HK Fashion Designers Association as part of Hong Kong Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 was simply an extraordinary experience. I’m so much amazed with the 3 local designers’ creativity, their commitment to fashion, and the fact that they are actually catching up with the international fashion standard in light of craftsmanship and runway design. Keep up the good work guys I’m so proud of you. Looking forward to the next year’s Hong Kong Fashion Extravaganza. Au Revoir. Zai Jian.
